　　據(jù)立思辰留學360介紹，美國大學法學院提供三種學位：JD，LLM，JSD。JD的全稱為Juris Doctor。雖然是叫Doctor，但事實上在美國，因為本科是沒有法學這個專業(yè)的，所以JD可謂為學士后法律學位，屬于美國的First Law Degree，任何獲得學士學位的本科生都可以申請JD，然而美國更希望自己的JD申請者，同時是在某個特殊領域有專業(yè)背景的人，從某種意義上來說，非法學專業(yè)的本科畢業(yè)生申請JD更有優(yōu)勢。

　　LLM的全稱為Master of Laws，即法律專業(yè)碩士學位，它是具有特定法律職業(yè)背景的專業(yè)性學位，申請人一般為本科法律系學生、法律碩士以及在職的法務人員，完全沒有法學相關經(jīng)歷以及學術背景的申請者不能申請。

　　JSD的全稱為Doctor of Juridical Science，它是真正意義上的法學博士，是法律專業(yè)的高級學位，一般來說，申請者必須有從事法學研究的職業(yè)目標，且必須有Master學位或是JD學位才能夠申請。

　　1、在企業(yè)事業(yè)單位從事黨政管理、紀檢監(jiān)察、企業(yè)管理、合同管理、法律事務管理。

　　2、在立法機關、黨政機關、社會團體從事黨政管理、紀檢監(jiān)察、政策法規(guī)制定和實施管理、社會公共事務管理、行政執(zhí)法等工作。

　　3、在公、檢、法、司等司法機關從事治安管理、案件偵查、法律監(jiān)督、審判、監(jiān)獄管理等工作，擔任審判人員、檢察人員、人民警察等。

　　4、在律師事務所、公證處、仲裁機構和其他法律服務機構從事法律服務工作，擔任律師、公證員、仲裁員、企業(yè)事業(yè)法律顧問等。

　　5.在高校和科研機構從事法律教學與研究工作。
